Note from Miss Sara,

Our “Toyshop” Christmas recital will be held at Providence High School Sunday December 8th at 1:00 and 5:00.  This location has a  state of the art lighting and sound system and we could not be more excited they are renting their facility to us.  We have some wonderful backstage helpers, so parents can relax and enjoy the show!

Please read over this information carefully.

 Quick Reference Guide

The 1:00 pm performance includes all non-competition dancers in Preschool- 6th grade and the senior advanced jazz and lyrical class only. The “Alice in Wonderland” portion will not be in the afternoon recital . *

The 5:00 pm performance includes all competition team members and the 6th-12th grade classes. *

There are two non-competition classes that will be in both shows because they have dancers in the class that have siblings in both shows. In this case parents can choose which show they will be dancing in (or both if they prefer). The classes that have the opportunity to be in both shows are the Preschool Age 4-5 class and the 2nd-5th grade hip-hop class. **

• No extra bows

• No Panties under costumes. Remind your child their costume is like a bathing suit, this usually helps :)

• Put your child's name on any shoes, tights, costume and other items to avoid any mix ups.

 Hair and Makeup
Dancers will wear a ballet bun and neutral eye makeup, with blush and either red or pink lipstick for all dances. Preschool students are not required to wear makeup and may have any hairstyle that is off of the face.

Tights and Shoes:

All ballet dances require pink tights and shoes. All jazz and tap dances require tan tights and shoes.

Costume Fees

Our Christmas show uses all rented costumes. You will pick up your costume at the theater and must return it before you leave. All costume and tuition fees must be paid in full to participate in the recital.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Ticket sales at the studio begin November 18th.

Why must I buy a ticket? There are many costs totaling in the thousands to put on a recital. Many of the people we hire also get paid time and a half because recital falls on a weekend. Some of these costs include: Theater Rental, backstage workers, lighting and sound designers, backdrops, program printing, music licensing, janitors, ticket printing, stage runners, and hourly employees that help the show run smoothly, The work begins long before the show starts.
